Anastasia is a 200 hour certified yoga instructor , completing her training with Breathe Yoga and
Wellness. Anastasia loves movement and wants to help people experience that joy within their
own bodies. Anastasia believes knowledge is power , therefore empowers her students through
relevant knowledge in her classes with a healthy dose of humour and infectious enthusiasm.
A lifelong athlete as a child was a competitive swimmer and in her teenage years competing
internally in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. After winning the IBJJF World Championship in 2017 at the blue
belt level and co founding a children’s outreach Jiu-Jitsu program she desired to pursue more
peace in her life and a greater focus on movement of the body. This led her to finding yoga
which combines both aspects of the mind and body. She currently regularly studies with David
Robson and Jelena Vesic at the Ashtanga Yoga Center of Toronto. She believes through
discipline of the mind and consciousness of the body can bring greater peace and joyful living
and wants to help others achieve that as well.
