Sari Fried

Sári’s approach to working with her students comes from her own healing journey and the way in which the path of yoga has guided her in finding balance and wellness within a demanding and fast-paced world. Sári guides her students through mindful exploration of movement, accessing the breath as a bridge between the mind and body in order to connect with one’s deeper Self. Through building relationship with nature and its elements and finding rootedness in the Earth, Sári’s students cultivate connection with their body, and experience greater alignment of the mental, emotional and physical aspects of their being.
Sári is certified in over 500 hours of yoga training and has been teaching both in studios and privately since 2013, in numerous styles of yoga including Ashtanga-Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin and Earth Ways, in Toronto, London England, India, Thailand and Colorado.
Sári incorporates meditation and pranayama (breathing techniques) into her classes to offer her students a deep exploration of the layers of yogic wisdom and the power of experiencing inner stillness. Sári is certified with the Prison Yoga Project’s mindfulness based trauma-sensitive training and currently teaches in Toronto South Detention Centre, a project that is dear to her heart.
