Mary Ann has been integrating Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga practice with her life for over 15 years. After first coming to yoga to help recover from a back injury and the stress of shift work she soon realized that there is so much more to yoga than the physical component. Mary Ann believes that Yoga contributes to health and well being through the physical, mental, and spiritual connection of practice. She strives to reflect a teaching style that supports individualizing short and long-term practice goals, towards improving our daily lives and overall self-realization.
Mary Ann is a certified Yoga instructor, Registered Nurse, and maintains an active supplemental practice in Pilates, meditation as well as Yin and Restorative Yoga. She completed her yoga teacher training at Bliss Yoga Studio under the guidance of Jelena Duma, Havovi MehtaBelaire, and Marco Fiorante. Mary Ann also completed her Restorative Yoga certification under the guidance and support of Marla Meenakshi Joy at Downward Dog Yoga. She wishes to thank all of her teachers and healers along the way.
