Certified Yoga Therapist
Since childhood I’ve known there was something around teaching and healing that I was meant to engage though conventional options of the day didn’t fit. I went about life, going down various paths, then in the year 2000, illness (adrenal fatigue and MCS) drew me Yoga to find healing, within a few months (of almost daily practice) I found a renewed vitality. Shortly thereafter, while in a Yoga class, I had an epiphany about Yoga being my path in life, the thing I knew I was meant to be doing and I have been focused on the study and practice of Yoga ever since.
My formal training has been through Atlantic Yoga Teacher Training (completed in 2002) in the Kripalu tradition, from which I went on to do a residential Spiritual Lifestyle Program at the Kripalu Centre for Yoga and Health. Since 2004 I have been studying Classical Yoga with various teachers in the lineage of Sri Krishnamacharya. In 2007 I moved to Toronto to continue my studies in this lineage through Yoga Therapy Toronto and completed a second teacher training, in this lineage, in 2008. I completed my certification as a Yoga Therapist in 2012. Since 2012 I have been studying Awakening Coaching with Arjuna Ardagh and I have also enriched my understanding of Yoga and of Ayurveda with my friend and mentor Pankaj Seth, ND.
Besides Yoga my studies have included Fine Art (NSCADU) performance art, mask & movement, dance and Herbology. I have been fortunate to have had teachers along the way who encouraged me to engage and deepen my understanding of my (and ultimately THE) creative source. That Being IS Spirit is my greatest inspiration and exploration.
If you are ready to cultivate transformation, healing and increased self- understanding then I am here to support you in your journey.
